Internal Trace Heating

Cross Electrical (Nottingham) Ltd offer both internal and external electrical trace heating systems. The best thing about our systems is that it complements, not replaces any other application.
How does heating systems benefit other pipes?
A long length of fuel oil pipeline will often benefit from internal tracing, as long as the pipeline is not required to be pigged, pipelines with a large number of valves and flanges, will favour external tracing.
Certain liquids such as fuel oil are thick at low temperatures and are normally passed through a pipe as part of the process or for transport; the internal trace heating ensures that the thickness is kept low when the pipeline is full of the product, trace heating is very very useful. Because in winter the chemicals will thicken up in the cold weather but by heating up these chemicals it will keep it liquefied so it is easier to extract when the driver as reached his destination.
Internal heating is effective in areas where the pipes are used much less frequently as the product temperature can be raised to a more fluid state in much shorter time with internal heating

How to save money on heating

At Cross Electrical we only bring you the very best in heating products on the market.

Insulation

Insulation is critical as it works in conjunction with your heating.  Lack of insulation will only result in a very cold house with a very high heating bill; you will be throwing money away as the heat escapes from your home. Insulating your home will trap the hot air inside keeping your bills low and you and your home warmer for longer.

Under floor heating

If you haven’t yet got around to checking your home insulation then under floor heating could still be the best option for you.

It is a great alternative to traditional radiators or hot-air heating systems in heating your home.
Under floor heating operates at a lower temperature than central heating systems and requires a lower room temperature making the heating system more efficient and it covers a large surface area.

Under floor heating helps prevent draughts between floor boards, trapping more heat in your home. Add floor insulation to this and your heat will be retained for even longer, heating your home more efficiently.
